HOW TO DRINK

SANREI

BASIC STYLE

HOPPY, shochu, and the mug are all chilled as 3 essential elements that make up the HOPPY experience. It is best to avoid adding ice as it dilutes the prized natural water in HOPPY and it weakens its carbonation. A frozen-cold mug is particularly recommended for a thorough enjoyment. SANREI translates to “triple-chilled,” a style with its origin in the late 1965. This is a prerequisite for the following three styles.

  • RECIPE 01 HALF & HALF

    ALCOHOL 0.8%

An equal mixture of HOPPY and KURO HOPPY with shochu. This well-balanced drink pairs nicely with all types of cuisine, from Japanese to other Asian to European and all Western palate.

  • RECIPE 02 ULTRA-D

    ALCHOL 7%

A very crisp drink made with 25-proof shochu and HOPPY.
The name derives from its “ultra-dry” experience that combines the flavor of the brewed HOPPY and the finish of the distilled Shochu. Upon preparing all elements chilled, fill shochu up to the second ★ marker on the mug (110 cc) and vigorously pour HOPPY to finish. (approx. 7% alcohol content).

  • RECIPE 03 PREMIUM LITE

    ALCOHOL 4.8%

A light, mouthfeel drink made with a mix of both 20-proof and 25-proof shochu.
With the 20-proof shochu frozen-cold into a sherbet-like state, pour halfway to the first ★ marker in the mug (35 cc). The well-chilled 25-proof shochu is then added to just above the first ★ marker in the mug. Vigorously pour HOPPY to finish. (approx. 4.8% alcohol content).
